NRG Helps United Way Send Kids in Mercer County Back to School

 

PRINCETON, NJ; August XX, 2009—This summer, NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NRG) held its annual United Way backpack drive at its Princeton headquarters to benefit Mercer County children in need. As part of NRG’s Global Giving Volunteer program, employees recently spent the day sorting, filling and delivering over 125 backpacks to two United Way agencies in Hightstown—Better Beginnings and Rise. NRG Global Giving also made a $3,000 donation to the United Way of Greater Mercer County.
